Father Stephen Freeman, along with his wife, Beth, joined St. John's in Spring of 2025 having relocated from Oak Ridge, TN. Both Fr. Stephen and Matushka Beth are natives of S.C., having met and married as students at Furman University in 1975. Fr. Stephen is well-known as an Orthodox writer and speaker. He retired from active parish ministry in 2020 after serving as the founding priest of St. Anne Orthodox Church in the Knoxville area. He assists at St. John's wherever needed and continues his work of writing and speaking
